    Rovaco has been curated to present work for "Movement Research at the Judson Church" by Juan Michael Porter II. This evening of dance is put together by the Artists of Color Council (AoCC) at Movement Research. Rovaco will present "The Devil's Advocate," performed by company member Nico Gonzales.   • Commission for Periapsis Music and Dance 2021 Season

    Rovaco is pleased to announce that Periapsis Music and Dance has commissioned Artistic Director Rohan Bhargava to create a new work set to music by composer Asha Srinivasan. The piece will premiere in-person as well as virtually alongside work by choreographers Gabrielle Lamb, Alia Kache, and Annie Nikunen.   • Arts Alive: In-Person Live Performances in NYC

    Rovaco performed live for this low-risk, indoor arts event following guidelines provided by the NY State Governor's Office. We presented the duet "Slow Motion Lament" performed by Nico Gonzales and Alden Henderson, alongside performances by Kayla Farrish/Decent Structure Arts.


  • Aaiye (Virtual Premiere)

  • Jadin Wong Fellowship 2020

    May - December 2020 | Asian American Arts Alliance (A4)

    Artistic Director Rohan Bhargava has been awarded the prestigious Jadin Wong Fellowship by A4 as Emerging Dance Artist 2020. This award includes a $6,000 cash grant, career coaching, and artistic mentorship from resepcted dance leaders. We will present a public program to culminate the fellowship in February 2021!

    Rovaco presented a new piece with collaborators Saul Gunipa (music composer), Tais Szilagi (singer), and Taylor Edelle Stuart (video/projection artist) revolving around the concept of home and community. It premiered at St. Michael's Episcopal Church on October 19th and First Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn on October 20th as part of Habitat: Home NYC.

    Since January 2018, Rovaco has been working on an evening length dance-theater work revolving around love, sex, and addiction.     LaGuardia Performing Arts Center at LaGuardia Community College

    Rovaco is working with City University of New York's Dance Initiative in collaboration with LaGuardia Performing Arts Center. This residency offers rehearsal space, resources, and funding to emerging and established choreographers. The company will premiere a new work on April 18th and 19th as a culmination of this residency.

  • The Dance Gallery Festival in Texas and New York

    November 3-5th, 2016 in Texas and November 13th, 2016 in NYC | Manhattan Movement and Arts Center

    This festival first ran in Sam Houston State University where Rovaco had the pleasure to teach and perform. The following weekend it came to NYC at Manhattan Movement and Arts Center for more performances!


  • New Jersey's Your Move Festival of Modern Dance

    Rovaco performs "Havas" (originally a part of "Azadi") in this evening length show featuring several modern dance companies.


  • Rovaco Dance Presents "3-2-1" at Tamasha NYC

    Septermber 28th, 2016 at 8pm and October 2nd, 2016 at 5pm | The Paradise Factory

    Tamasha NYC celebrates South Asian Performing Artists, and Rovaco Dance produced an evening length show as part of this festival. At the closing night ceremony, Rovaco's production was awarded for "Outstanding Choreography" and "Best Dance Group Performance".


  • Making Moves Dance Festival

    "The Devil's Advocate" (originally commissioned by Mare Nostrum Elements) returned to stage at this prestigious festival in Jamaica.


  • Luce Foundation's International Potluck and Awards Night
